On this 4th Sunday in Advent, are you going to sneak away or embrace the will of God, even as Joseph did? “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name emmanuel” (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife, but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus.”

In this season of Advent, let us look for the signs of the Kingdom. Let us see the signs of the Spirit at work around us; let us see that God’s mercy is active in and around us, touching the world with grace.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear sister Betty Kennedy. In the evening of October 9th, Betty went peacefully in her sleep to be with our Lord. Betty would have been 98 next month. We will all miss her and our heartfelt prayers go out to her family and loved one.

Another huge thank you to Natalia Stoney and the St. Andrew’s Children’s and Youth choirs for a marvelous Spring Concert Friday June 7th. It was enjoyed by all who attended and to top it off $236.50 was raised and donated to “The Nest” a children’s program working with Autistic children.
