Call to Worship:
This is the Lord’s Day, the day of wonder and grace.
This is the day to worship the One who calls us here.
This is the Lord’s Day, the day we are given joy and peace.
This is the day promised to us, the day of healing and renewal.
This is the Lord’s Day, and it has come just in time!
This is the day we gather with hope, with faith, with love.
How good our God is!
Let us worship – in spirit and in truth.
Hymn #638 Take Time to Be Holy
Prayer of Adoration
Transforming God, you take the night and give us day. You take our strife and give us peace. You take our sadness and give us joy. You take our fear and give us courage. You take death and give us new life. O God, you give and you give and you give. So we come to praise you and offer our love and loyalty as your willing servants in the name of Christ who enriches our lives with grace and in the power of the Spirit who prays within us when we cannot find the right words to honour you, God most kind and generous. Amen.
Prayer of Confession:
Opening our hearts to the song of your creating.
In this our time we confess what lies between us:
A gulf of good intentions
Broken promises
Spoiled loves
Angry words
False motives
All that leaves us ashamed
Aware of what might have been
Yet in the space between we find tenderness
Understanding – Forgiveness
A chance for redemption, Making amends, Moving on
New dawns, New hope – The love that conquers all
Even us.
God be within us
God around us
God between us
God for us
Now and always
Now and always. Amen
Assurance of Pardon
Hear the good news! Who is in a position to condemn? Only Christ – and Christ died for us; Christ rose for us, Christ reigns in power for us, Christ prays for us. So trust God’s promise. In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven and given a new start by God’s generous grace.

Faithful God, we offer humble thanks today for your generosity to us through the Church that bears Christ’s name. Receive our gifts as tokens of our love and loyalty.
